Jackson is always eager to visit his aunt Sarah at her anthropological digs. This time she's in England, at Stonehenge, and Jackson's particularly excited to see the massive and mysterious stone formations in person. But then he sees a young man viciously attacked and witnesses a similar savage attack on his beloved aunt Sarah. A beast no one has ever seen before is on the prowl and Jackson must rush to stop it before it can kill again. Can he solve the mystery of the inhuman monster that is stalking the countryside - before it's too late?

Audio Reviews

From Audiofile Magazine:

A monster is living under Stonehenge, and only a plucky 15-year-old American named Jason Cawley seems to understand the danger. Packed with action, The Doom Stone is perfect for all who like a touch of the creepy crawly within a basic story of growing up and learning about courage. Narrator Simon Prebble plunges into dark caverns, with only a flashlight to guide the way. He practically pushes you off the roof of a towering cathedral belfry with the monster's hot breath beating against your neck. No literary pretentions here, just a ripsnorting good read.
